After months of tabloid speculation and drama for Sandra Bullock  she finally decided to sit down for her first TV interview.  But a lot of what people were hoping to hear was completely avoided and many are saying the interview was just plain boring.

We have reaction to the highly anticipated interview from NBC, E! online, Los Angeles Times, News Day and Zap 2 It.

Matt Lauer of The Today Show was in the coveted seat across from the actress and brought up two things: Baby Louis and New Orleans.  Here’s a bit of the almost 8 minute chat.

BULLOCK: “There are a lot of things that fell through the cracks during the storm and it was embarrassing.  Those cracks exist throughout the United States, throughout the world, and it just sort of opened up something that I don’t think people knew about or maybe didn’t want to see.  But right here under this roof, there are souls and spirits and young people who don’t come from any money, but carry this extraordinary spirit to like override that.”

In talking about the interview, E! Online focuses only on the adoption.

“On The Today Show Tuesday morning, she shares the moment of joy she felt when her adoption of 7-month-old Louis became final.”

BULLOCK: “I did not circumvent. I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did. It was nice to have someone say ‘I think you’re a fit parent’, which is what I heard.”

The LA Times pokes fun
at the actress for her obsession over one particular thing her son does.

“How's Sandra Bullock doing as a mom? Her ‘little Cajun cookie’ Louis has a regular poop schedule, America … If the smile on her face when she mentions her new son is any indication, things are going just fine.”

Newsday says the interview didn’t touch on anything people wanted to hear and gave it a less than stellar grade.

“... a D -. Nothing asked about her recent travails. Nothing. There was the slightest insinuation — it wasn't even asked as a question by Matt  that her privacy had been thwarted by friends … It was all vague, and no doubt purposely so.”

Zap2It says although they didn’t talk about the scandal and her subsequent divorce  her action spoke louder than words.

“Sandra Bullock has demonstrated that she's made of sterner stuff after her ex-husband Jesse James' cheating scandal broke followed by their divorce … The actress is much beloved by the American public, but New Orleans has adopted her as one of their own.”

So did you get what you wanted from Sandra’s TODAY Show appearance?  Or did you expect her to talk about more personal issues?
