A college student up and vanished from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

"Hye Min Choi, also known as Joseph Choi, last spoke to his father by phone Saturday. ... He told his father he was hungry and was going to get something to eat before his flight home. Hours later at the North Carolina airport ... Choi never came out." (Via WICD)

WGHP reports authorities say it's a possibility Choi disappeared voluntarily.

"Police say a college student from Geeensboro may have run away because he got bad grades. ... Choi graduated fourth in his class from Northwest High School last year."

Choi just finished his first year at the University of Illinois, HLN reports. Authorities say there don't appear to be any signs of foul play. But they are stumped as to his whereabouts.

"His sister says his credit card was used in the airport McDonald's and police say he was seen on surveillance video going through security, and that is pretty much all they know."

ABC spoke with Choi's sister, Catherine, who says this is completely out of character for her brother, and described him as the "epitome of a perfect child."

United Airlines says, so far, the 19-year-old has not booked another flight with them.
