Chrysler will file for bankruptcy - that from President Barack Obama Thursday morning in Washington… he also announced 3.5 billion in new government aid - designed to allow a Chrysler-Fiat partnership to emerge within the next two months…

President Barack Obama has hopes for the partnership between Chrysler and Fiat… we begin with coverage from MSNBC and CNN….

“Today, I am pleased to announce that Chrysler and Fiat have formed a partnership that has a strong chance of successs. It is a partnership that will save more than 30,000 jobs at Chrysler and tens of thousands of other jobs and businesses that rely on this company.” (MSNBC)

“I stand with Chryslers employees, their families and communities.  I stand with the millions of Americans that own and want to buy Chrysler cars…  That’s why I am supporting Chrysler’s plans to use our bankruptcy laws to clear away its remaining obligations so the company can get back on its feet and onto a path of success…" (CNN)

ABC reports this deal will help Chrysler get out of bankruptcy sooner…

“Know this, the company will likely emerge from bankruptcy in a matter of weeks because of deals currently in place already…” (ABC News)

FOX has these perspectives on what the announcement means for American taxpayers.

“…taxpayers have had enough, at some point you just have to say look we want you to succeed but not on the backs of taxpayers across the country.”

“I think some tax payers are rooting for a chapter 11 filing, not because they see it as a failure. They don’t see it as a failure. They see what happened already as a failure. They see this as a meaningful way out for Chrysler.” (FOX News)

So how long do you think it will take Chrysler to rebuild after declaring bankruptcy?  How successful do you think Chrysler will be in the future?
