The rumors are true -- Rihanna and Chris Brown have teamed up on new music. And even more than expected -- it’s not one new remix, but two. Here is Fox News.

“Both released new songs on the same day featuring each other, it was just three years ago when Brown brutally assaulted the singer.”

Rihanna is featured in a new remix of Brown’s “Turn Up the Music” and Brown in Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake.”  Blisstree.com says there’s a lot to read between the lines on Brown’s racy lyrics in “Birthday Cake.”

“The lyrics literally read like sexts between two people who used to date and want to get back together, or at least, have sex.”

KillerHipHop.com has those lyrics -- here’s an excerpt.

“Been a long time, I’ve been missing your body …”

But not everyone is turning up the music. As buzz built in recent days that the two were releasing new music together, criticism came for Rihanna. Here’s E! Online’s reaction.

“It's all too much for us to handle—it dangerously downplays domestic violence and sends the wrong message to millions of young fans.  Sorry RiRi, but we're craving a different kinda birthday cake—one without Chris Brown.”

A radio host on HLN’s ShowBiz Tonight wants to know why people are still dwelling in the past. He says Rihanna is over the incident, and everyone else should be too. As for Brown …

“And he has paid his debt to society and he’s listened to everything his attorney Mark Geragos has told him and he’s gone through all his rehab and his community service.”

Some outlets say the two are involved outside the studio. Others report Brown has a new girlfriend.
