Catalonia's pro-independence parties declared victory in the region's parliamentary elections, and no one knows what that will ultimately mean.

The leaders of Together for Yes had vowed to declare independence if their party won an absolute majority in parliament, but the exit polls showed that to be unlikely. Lucky for them, a smaller far-left party also favors independence and could join forces to reach that absolute majority number.
