Can We Call It A Comeback? Floyd Mayweather Files For '50' Trademarks

Mayweather's camp is trying to trademark "TMT 50" and "TBE 50," all but guaranteeing the retired boxer will return to the ring.

Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather's trademark filings could mean a return to the ring is more probable than possible.

"Everyone is asking me, 'Is Floyd Mayweather coming back?' Right now, I'm happy being on this side, but I've been talking with CBS and Showtime, and you just never know," Mayweather told Showtime's Jim Gray

That's what Mayweather had to say to Showtime's Jim Gray on Saturday when asked if he was considering a comeback.

And now, ESPN reports that his camp has filed for at least two trademarks: "TMT 50" and "TBE 50."

"TMT" stands for The Money Team — Mayweather's promotional brand; "TBE" for The Best Ever — a nickname he's called himself before; and "50" for the win he'd be coming back to get.

Mayweather retired last September at 49-0, tied with legendary heavyweight Rocky Marciano for the best record ever for a retired champion.

From the looks of it, Mayweather is enjoying the retired life at 39 years old.

But he said the chance to go 50-0 and, well, the guaranteed money, could make a comeback all that more probable.
