Hillary Clinton racked up a new political endorsement from California Gov. Jerry Brown.

Brown posted an open letter to California saying he will vote for Clinton in the state's primary on June 7. But the endorsement seemed to focus on votes and the delegate count, calling her lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders "insurmountable."

The governor took a moment to praise Sanders, saying, "He has driven home the message that the top one percent has unfairly captured way too much of America’s wealth."

Brown says he attempted a similar campaign in 1992 when he ran against Bill Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination. And in that campaign, things got a little heated between the two.

"He is funneling money to his wife's law firm for state business; that's number one. Number two, his wife's law firm is representing clients before the state of Arkansas agencies, his appointees," Brown said during a 1992 Democratic debate.

"But you ought to be ashamed of yourself for jumping on my wife. You're not worth being on the same platform as my wife," Bill Clinton said to Brown.

It appears Brown and the Clintons have put that feud behind them. Hillary Clinton tweeted an excerpt from Brown's endorsement that reads, "I want to be sure that it is Hillary Clinton who takes the oath of office, not Donald Trump."
