I don't see the point in the calendar. It is trying to promote Mormons as "normal". But the fact is mormons are not normal, and our religion is clear on that. We are a peculiar people. Why try promote anything different. If these women are sexy and wany to promote their sexiness they should do it in a playboy magazine, not in something that has the church's name on it. I also don't understand why everyone is saying it's a joke, it is in humor. Sorry porno magazines/ pics are not humorous they are made for to stimulate senses and earn revenue. The 'mormon muffins' are there to make a statement. A braindead statement to me. They supposedly teach their children good values. Right? I'm sure respect from their children will go down the drain when they see that. Congratulations ladies, excellent statement to the world!

Just what century are we in again? I thought the witch trials was thing of the pass, yet I'm not surprised at how quick some are to attack.

Of course some people aren't offended by the calendar because they probably own calendars similar or worse than this one. I think it is very rude and definitely distasteful to see these LDS women pose in such manners. Members of the church know better than that and it is sad to see that they don't care about the standards.

I am an active Mormon and not offended by the calendar - - it falls in the area between tasteful and offensive, in my book. What bugs me is that the promoter of this calendar tries to portray himself as innocently trying to break down stereotypes (right!) when what he is really trying to do is profit off a controversy he creates about a Church to which he, by his own admission, does not have much commitment. Seems kind of low class to me, but he will probably make the buck he is after.

I wonder what the profit thinks about all of this? That's if they are Mormon at all! The church is perfect the people not, but I don't know any active member that would do something so distasteful and not think of the father,or Jesus Christ! But I will pray for them.

Last time I checked, this is a free country so I can say whatever is on my mind. If I disagree with something, the Bill of Rights gives me the power to say so. What I want to get across is that true LDS members do not behave this way. Don't let this calendar make you think that we are all like that. We are all different but we all have the same standards. Yes, we have stereotypes for being Mormon but last time I checked, being made fun of for being "perfect" or "nice" was not bad. As members of the church, please know that we don't approve of such behavior and this calendar goes against our morales.

I agree that the calendar is far from porn, but if by posing like this for a calendar breaks the rules of the mormon church, they should not have done it. I agree with the part about how if you join an organization - and esp a religion, you stick by its rules.

I think it's great! Some people in this world need to keep there comments to them selfes. If you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything!!

I personally couldn't care less about these "sexy Mormon moms." To each her own. But I don't buy that last lady's comment about just accepting each other. As soon as you give gays the same rights you have, then you can talk about acceptance.

Speak for yourself. I am LDS. I am a worthy recommend holder. I'm not going out to buy this calendar or anything, but I think good for these people. Doing something different. It isn't pornography. It's humorous. I really have a problem with people assuming we are all the same, and that we all have the same thoughts and actions. We don't. So let these women be themselves. They're trying to shed a stereotype which I also would very much like to shed. The calendar does not claim to be endorsed by the church so leave it alone. You do not have to buy it or look at it. Lighten up.

I don't think the women had the intentions of hurting the reputation of the Mormon church. I think they wanted to hurt the stereotypes that society places on women of the LDS church. However, I am not sure people are going to see that satirical point.

As an LDS mother, I find it distasteful for these women to do such a calendar. If they truly are ACTIVE members of the church, they know what is appropriate for the church standards. Like someone said earlier, they knew what they were getting into when they joined the church. Don't associate yourselves with us because you know that we don't agree or approve of such things like this calendar. I hope they're not teaching their children things that go against our religion.

Well... I think the real problem here is that they made their calendar not as separete thing of their religion, but as a thing that in a explicit way use religion to sell their product.....

I mean it's ok if they want to make a calendar with hot or sexy pictures of them, but which is the point to involve their religion in it...?

Unless it is showing their "promised land" I don't think it counts as porn, but hey, I'm a purist. It seems campy, and fun let the MMILFs have their day.
