They’re not the same old Buffalo Bills. At least not through the first three games.

The Bills ended their 15 game losing streak against the Patriots, beating them for the first time since September of 2003. Buffalo Rising puts the win into perspective.

“The last time the Bills beat the Patriots, Facebook didn’t exist. Neither did Twitter.”

From the depths - to the top. The Bills have the highest scoring offense in the NFL and became the first team since 1950 to overcome deficits of at least 18 points in consecutive games. Analysts for CBS Sports agree - this year they’re for real.

“They are for real because they’re solid in the kicking game, they’re solid on defense from the standpoint that they have some playmakers, they showed up today with four interceptions against Brady and they have a quarterback in Fitzpatrick who they believe in, a young receiver in Stevie Johnson, they have Fred Jackson who can now run the football. This is a team again that don’t beat themselves, and they’re going to be a hard beat.”

And analysts for NFL.com say The Bills might have also exposed Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who threw four interceptions in a game for the first time since 2006.

“He wants to throw to Rob Gronkowski, this guy’s got 15 touchdowns in his young career already- on the seam, watch him reset his feet, and away he goes, shoot it in there in the seam up and over the top. He fools the safety, but not the strong safety George Wilson. Fantastic play, one of four interceptions.”

Four interceptions: that’s how many Brady threw all of last season. While many are blaming the defense for the Patriots’ collapse, ESPN’s Cris Carter pins the loss on the QB.

“The defense wouldn’t have been that bad if Tom Brady hadn’t turned the ball over and put the defense back on the football field. Even if they punt in those situations, or if they are able to generate a couple more first downs, then I believe they could have worn out the Buffalo defense.”

Even with the Bills’ hot start, some remain skeptical. Sports Illustrated’s Mark Mravic likes the Bills, but believes their chances of making the playoffs are slim.

“Well, you know the problem with Buffalo is they’re stuck in a really tough division with the Patriots and the Jets and you know I just don’t see Tom Brady throwing four interceptions in the rematch so they have a couple of hurdles to climb there, but I think they really are built to last.”

But the fans might be buying into it... immediately following the win, security had to rush to take the goalposts down before they could be ripped down by fans.
