Hand over the cape, Super Man. There’s a new hero among us - cleverly disguised as a world famous actor.

According to the Scottish Sun - while on the set of his upcoming flick, World War Z, Brad Pitt lent a helping hand to an extra who had fallen during a frantic, zombie fleeing scene.

A source on set told the Sun--

"It was total chaos as 700 extras were trying to get down the street – they were banging into moving cars, cameras and military who were carrying heavy machine guns. Lots of people hurt themselves, and Brad came to the rescue of a woman who slipped.”

A writer for the LA Times reports-- the hunky Hollywood hero didn’t have time to chat after his swoop-and-save since it happened mid-shoot, but -- despite a scraped knee-- the woman was grateful.

--And lucky, some might say. Her injuries were small-- compared to those of other extras on set.

Huliq reports“...loads of [other] extras suffered bumps and scrapes as well as broken bones. These actors were pushed and shoved in all directions, making unexpected contact with military personnel carrying machine guns, gargantuan film cameras, and even moving vehicles.”

According to Entertainmentwise.com - everyone on set has been urged to be as careful as possible with health and safety talks.
