Girls may run the world -- but Beyonce may not run the charts?
Record execs say Beyonce’s two most recent singles have been less than stellar.

“The twenty-nine year old is reportedly worth about 300 million dollars a real powerhouse.
‘I am always preaching about work ethic and about self esteem.’
She teamed up with Target for a deluxe edition of her new album “4”.”

The New York Post reports....

“Columbia Records executives fear Beyoncé's new album, "4," could be a dud after she refused to return to the studio to re-record new tracks...”

….an industry insider told them...

"It doesn't have the hit songs that her fans are used to. They asked her to make changes, but she said no."

That news isn’t shocking to everyone. A writer for Daily Mail says...

“She's not had an album out for almost three years and her last two singles failed to make the Top Ten.
So it's little wonder her record label bosses are starting to worry about the success of Beyoncé's upcoming new album.”

Fans and critics alike got a taste of the pop star’s new album 3 weeks early after it leaked on the Internet.
It didn’t take long before most music critics began to sound off on the album.

Rolling Stone’s Matthew Perpetua writes -- the album isn’t bad, it’s just... different.

“While her first three solo albums were full of blockbuster jams, 4 is a more relaxed, personal set that emphasizes ballads over bangers and showcases the singer's nuances; it's very much the sort of album a pop star makes when she doesn't feel like she has anything to prove.”

But will those differences hurt her sales? Fox News interviewed a source that thinks it’s time for something desperate. They suggest Beyonce may need to run to her old groupmates.

'Beyoncé's career has stalled a bit,' the source said. 'Columbia seems to think they can get some mileage out of a comeback record with all of the girls.'”

A Celebitchy writer tries to give some perspective to the argument, saying -- Beyonce may not be as popular as she once was, but let’s not jump to conclusions.

“I’m not sure all of this ‘Beyonce is flailing’ nonsense is really necessary. Beyonce is still a very big deal, she just happened to take some well-deserved time off. It’s not like she’s attempting to comeback after some career failure - she just hasn’t released any new music in a while.”
