Avril Lavigne is making headlines...but not because of a new hit single. Instead, an evening out on the town with beau Brody Jenner turned bloody. Entertainment Weekly reports...

“Unfortunately, the best took a turn for the worse when both Jenner and Lavigne were involved in a bloody bar fight later that evening in Los Angeles.”

Jenner wasn’t the cause of the brawl. Rather, he tried to break things up, but didn’t escape unscathed. WTXF has the details.

“He’s making the news because he gets knocked in the head with a bottle trying to break up a girl fight. You can see there’s a big beating there above his eye....Avril Lavigne, she was fighting with another girl, super classy. So what does he do? He jumps in to get involved.”

The fight happened outside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel around 1 am Sunday. As TMZ reports, someone called the police, but when they arrived, Lavigne was nowhere to be found.

“By the time cops got to the scene -- the alleged combatants had all left the scene (including Avril) -- though Brody stuck around and talked with police.”

Hours after the incident, an angry Lavigne sent this tweet to her Twitter following.

“I don’t fight. I don’t believe in it. To clear things up, I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f***ed.”

She later tweeted she had a black eye, bloody nose, and some cuts and bruises. At this point, it’s not clear what the argument was about, and no arrests have been made.
