From the power of technology, to a salute to heroes, to preventing war.
These are just some of the perspectives we’re following in the aftermath of the massive terror attack in Mumbai, India.
The rampage lasted some 60 hours. Nearly 200 people were killed.

We’re following perspectives from Twitter, India’s NDTV, Pakistan’s GEO News and The Christian Science Monitor.
We begin with Twitter.

India’s micro messengers brought with them perspectives from the ground during the attack – and afterwards on what to do.

We must come together. From citizen journalism to citizen activism”, Writes streetanchor.
Mumbai feed writes – “Do you think asking the current politicians to resign, is, in any way gonna serve ANY purpose??”
And vineet gupta says “life back again at Café Leopold.” (Twitter)

India’s NDTV – followed the attack since it started.
Now it looks at how to win a war on terrorism.
In a two-hour broadcast called “Fight Against Terror: How can we Win?” the network talked with people eager for politicians not to point fingers but to solve the problem.
The network also saluted the heroes who fought the terrorists…

NDTV’s lead story on its webpage focuses on reaction against Pakistan: “The High Commissioner was told that the elements in Pakistan were behind [the] Mumbia attack and that India expects strong reaction against those elements.” (NDTV)

GEO News in Pakistan points out that the Pakistan president is making an urgent appeal “… not to punish his country for the terror unleashed on Mumbai last week.” (GEO)

Outside India and Pakistan, the world is watching. The Christian Science Monitor takes the editorial viewpoint that what happens next is critical….

“The leaders of both South Asian nations know they cannot repeat the nationalist overreaction that happened after a 2001 attack on India's parliament by militants with suspected ties to Pakistan. Then, the two nuclear-armed countries nearly went to war, held back mainly by US diplomacy.  …the region needs a broad response that rises above ethnic or religious nationalism….” (The Christian Science Monitor)

What should the world response be to the Mumbai Massacre? Should other countries help in an investigation?
