The device many have been waiting for might be arriving in stores in the next few weeks. Analysts are buzzing about Apple’s iPad 3 which some think will be unveiled at a news conference on March 7th. PC Mag reports a shipping form was found and it suggests iPad 3s are already heading to the U.S. Here’s more.

“…Apple supplier Foxconn is gearing up to ship the forthcoming iPad 3 to the United States. The delivery form, originally posted on a Chinese micro blogging site, is said to be from a major international cargo charter flight departing from the airport in Chengdu International Airport in China.”

Foxconn is the Chinese manufacturer that makes products for Apple. The company has come under fire in recent weeks for unfair labor practices. Apple has hired an independent investigator to look into it. The news about the iPad 3 comes as retailers have begun slashing prices of the iPad 2.  From South Coast Today...

“Best Buy began offering an unusual $50 discount on all iPad models Sunday, dropping the price of the entry-level WiFi-only iPad to $449.99 and the price of the high-end 64-gigabyte WiFi+3G device to $779.99..”

All this excitement surrounds the arrival of the iPad 3, and Apple hasn’t even announced the specs of the device or that the company will hold a press conference to talk about it. Techspot says not to worry, the launch is on the way.

“Apple is said to be planning a media event for the first week in March...the event will be held in San Francisco, likely at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.”

As for the features of the iPad 3, Orlando Business Journal speculates:

“It's expected to include a higher resolution display, the Siri voice-controlled personal assistant and wireless connectivity to high-speed 4G and LTE networks.”

Techies wait eagerly to get their hands on Apple’s new hardware even those with the year old  iPad 2.  So the question is: what to do with those “old” devices?  Some experts at Smartmoney say sell them, Now!

“Mark LoCastro, spokesman for sale aggregator site DealNews.com, says ‘You’ll receive a higher resale value for your used device if you part with it now, rather than waiting for the newer generation to be announced.’”

In the past, Apple has released devices in the week following their announcement. If that holds true this time around, buyers can expect the iPad 3 to hit shelves in the second week of March.
