John McAfee, founder of the antivirus software company of the same name, is wanted for murder after the killing of an American expatriate in San Pedro, Belize.

According to the official police record, Gregory Faull was discovered Sunday, Nov. 12 by his housekeeper lying face up in a pool of blood with an apparent gunshot wound on the upper rear part of his head”

Faull has had a series of disagreements with the multi-billionaire McAfee whose permanent residence is in Beliza. He had filed a complaint against McAfee last Wednesday, accusing him of firing off guns and of ‘roguish’ behavior.

This is not the first time McAfee got in trouble with Belize authorities. In May, he was charged for illegal possession of weapons and drug manufacturing.

McAfee’s behavior in recent years has been very erratic. He sold his company to Intel in 2010 for $7.7 billion dollars and turned to hallucinogenic drugs, bath salts, while flirting with the most notorious drug-gangsters of Belize, according to Gizmodo.

Questioned by Cnet, Faull’s wife talks about her relationship to McAfee:

“I just know that McAfee alienated a lot of people around him. Frankly, I was surprised to hear that he was still living there."

Police in Belize are actively searching for McAfee.
