Casey Anthony is a free woman for now—but was she actually safer behind bars?
“Just after midnight Sunday morning, accompanied by armed guards, as you see. She was hustled into a waiting SUV, where there is a picture of her, showing some relief right there. So where is she now, and what’s next?”
Most in the media believe her release from prison has only further endagered her life. One of Anthony’s attorneys, Cheney Mason, believes that his client is safe for now. But he says keeping her safe will be an uphill battle.
"Her life is going to be very difficult for a very long time as long as there are so many people of the lynch-mob mentality."
The blog Philly Buzz takes it one step further - saying Anthony could be killed even if she moves out of the lower 48.
“She's not only the most hated person in Florida, but the most hated person in America. Rumor has it she may even be relocated to Puerto Rico. She might not even be safe there."
The media hasn’t seen hide nor hair of Anthony since she was whisked away -- but in an interview with CBS, her civil attorney agrees describes what Anthony is feeling.
CHARLES GREEN: "Ms. Anthony right now is happy. She's sad. She's anxious. She's optimistic. She's worried. She's scared. She's uncertain. (FLASH) She is a virtual Hester Prynne of our society with a scarlet letter, a well-known face. So she is still in many ways confined."
Reports say on Sunday Anthony was spotted running for a private plane at Executive Orlando Airport around 3:00 a.m.
