On Tuesday-- life imitated art for Grammy-winning artist Amy Winehouse, who died last Saturday.
Music: Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black”
“We still don’t know what killed her. Yesterday’s autopsy results were inconclusive.”
(Fox News)
The inconclusive autopsy means Winehouse’s family laid her to rest Tuesday without knowing how she died. It will be two to four weeks before the results of a toxicology test come back.
Meanwhile- media outlets are trying to solve the mystery themselves. UK’s The Sun quotes an anonymous source as saying...
"There were no empty bottles, syringes, crack pipes or anything like that. It's not believed she had vomited...Her health was in a very bad state and she had been admitted to hospital by ambulance on a regular basis suffering seizures. Her nervous system was shot to pieces.”
Police confirm-- they didn’t find any drugs in Winehouse’s home. The Sun also reports-- Winehouse’s doctor saw her the night before she died and said- she was fine. An editor at People Magazine tells ABC-- neighbors say the singer/songwriter was rocking out Friday night.
"’We know that she was well enough to be playing drums well into Friday night...We spoke to neighbors who said she was usually so quiet. It's worth noting that she was making a lot of noise that night.’"
But CNN notes-- even as the singer’s death remains a mystery-- her popularity is a sure thing.
“If you need proof of Winehouse’s worldwide impact, here it is: there has been a 37-fold increase in her album sales since Saturday when she was found dead. Now fans and music experts are clamoring for the release of her reportedly unfinished third album.”
Winehouse was set to be cremated after the Jewish service attended by close friends and family. ABC reports- the official cause of death will be released in October.
