Abdullah's parliamentary idea... devolving power to local provinces... seems like a pretty obvious (and legitimate) opportunity for the Taliban to re-establish itself politically in Afghanistan. But he's not the only one in this puppet parade... Western-educated trust fund babies like these guys have no stake in improving the country. Looks like the CIA filled out a Facebook Top 5 Afghani presidential candidates list and got their wish. The Afghan member of parliament in the still frame pic got it right: "It's not important who's voting, it's important who's counting." Good luck, guys!

The Taliban will still threaten smaller provinces in order to deter them from voting. In little villages like Tarakai the Taliban declared anyone voting will have a finger cut off (the one with ballot ink).

I'm bothered by the fact that the current president doesn't even deny being America's puppet. That should be a fat red flag to informed voters.
