ANCHOR LAUREN GORES

Adam Levine has lashed out at Fox News for using his music during their broadcasts. According to Slate’s Trending News Channel...

“... the singer blasted Fox News on Twitter for using Maroon 5's songs on the air.
The singer tweeted: ‘Dear Fox News, don't play our music on your evil f**king channel ever again. Thank you.’
Andy Levy of Fox's Red Eye With Greg Gutfeld shot back: ‘Dear @AdamLevine, don't make crappy f**king music ever again. Thank you.’”

The pair at Red Eye did not stop with the tweets, insulting Levine during a broadcast.

Andy: “I do know that Chris Martin once emailed Levine to thank for making Coldplay seem edgy.”
Greg: “Well it certainly did.”
Andy: “Yeah”
Greg: “Terrible.”
Andy: “Yeah.”
Greg: “And you know what else? I know who this jackass is -- he always wears a cap.”
Andy: “Does he, is he one of those people?”
Greg: “I gotta wear a cap ‘cause I am insecure … SHUT UP!”
Female Panelist: “‘Cause he’s balding.”
Greg: “Yeah, that too.”

The comments have garnered mixed responses. A blogger at 411 Mania reminds the singer, once you make something political, you lose half your audience.

“...aren't you alienating and discriminating against many of your listeners based on their political views ... Does that mean they're evil too, and you don't want them showing up to your concert, Mr. Levine? Oh, I'm sure you don't mind that – you want to rob them of their money to hear your horrible songs.”

But a blogger at Zap2it says, hey- that’s Rock n’ Roll. Fox News anchors, however, need to stay behind a desk and off the stage.

“Here's the thing -- rock stars are supposed to lash out unnecessarily. The public finds it charming. It's what they do. News anchors, on the other hand, are expected to have a slightly higher standard of behavior”

And MTV points out, we shouldn’t be surprised. The Maroon 5 front man has been doing this for quite a while

“Earlier this year, Levine criticized rival reality singingcompetition ‘American Idol’, slamming the show for its treatment of gay performers. The timing of that missive happened right after Levine had gotten the Glambert nation in a snit over comments he made that appeared to insult ‘Idol’ alum Adam Lambert's hit ‘Whataya Want From Me’.”

Levine is as yet to respond to the latest batch of comments.
