A one season sitcom from the '80s accurately predicted the date of Gadhafi’s death within three months. Here’s a clip showing Libya’s late leader arriving at St. Peter’s pearly gates.
Peter : Ah Colonel Gadhafi … Dead at last (Fox)
The date the sitcom predicted -- July 29, 2011. Back then it was called “Second Chance” and its most notable actor was Matthew Perry. Even with a friendly cast, Daily Mail reports the skit was based on some grim premise.
“The pilot aired September 26, 1987, nearly a year and a half after the Berlin discotheque bombing that killed three and injured 230 people … The event was clearly still in the public's consciousness, as his judgement from St Peter reflected his terrorist dealings."
“Colonel Gaddafi, hear me: Because you have ordered the deaths of innocent people by means of terrorist explosives, you are sentenced to spend eternity wired as a human bomb. Every two minutes you will blow up.”
Oddly enough, On The Red Carpet notes this isn’t the first time a 2011 prediction has come true.
“In August it was announced that Jimmy Fallon will host "Saturday Night Live" for the first time on December 17. What is funny about that date is that Fallon's hosting stint was predicted in a monologue for the show in 1998 when Alec Baldwin hosted the episode that included his famous "Schwetty Balls" skit…”
