This Woman Rocks A Full Beard Because Body Positivity Is ImportantBy Danielle Dieterich | September 8, 2016
Conversations about body positivity often gets focused on weight, but for Harnaam Kaur, it was more complicated than that. She had to learn to love her beard.
Body shaming is real! we have not yet realised that even gems come in different shapes, sizes and colours! Yet they are all still beautiful— Harnaam Kaur (@harnaamkaur) August 21, 2016
Kaur has polycystic ovary syndrome, which caused her facial hair to grow. She was bullied as a child, but now she proudly grows it out. In fact, she was just announced as the Guinness World Record-holder for youngest woman to have a full beard.
And the spotlight isn't new for her. She got all kinds of attention as a model at London Fashion Week.
Kaur is using the spotlight to preach positivity, as advice ...
Your self worth is not found in the opinions of others! It's found deep within you, by you 🙏🏽❤️— Harnaam Kaur (@harnaamkaur) September 5, 2016
Find it, cherish it!
and as self-love.
It's taken me my whole life to realise that I'm actually a queen 👑— Harnaam Kaur (@harnaamkaur) September 6, 2016
