For those of you who've been living under a rock, there's been quite a bit of controversy over Melania Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention. Specifically, how eerily similar it is to Michelle Obama's at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer defended Melania Trump by quoting Akon, John Legend and, yes, "My Little Pony." His argument: Statements, like "you work hard for what you want in life," are common; therefore, Melania Trump's speech wasn't plagiarism.
