ICYMI: Beyoncé Dropped Another (Longer, Scarier) 'Lemonade' Teaser

April 18, 2016

Is it normal to be equal parts excited and frightened after watching something like that?

We're getting closer to April 23, when Beyoncé is expected to premiere something called "Lemonade" on HBO. On Sunday, Beyoncé released teaser No. 2 for the project.

Whereas the first trailer was astoundingly vague, Sunday's release looked like a damn horror film chock full of nonlinear visuals and some haunting music. Here's what Bey says in the trailer:

"The past and the present merge to meet us here."

"What are you hiding?"

"I think of lovers as trees."

"Why can't you see me?"

"You're the love of my life."

"Wrap your legs around me."

"What am I doing, my love?"

"Pull me in, pull me in, pull me in."

Huh?

It's not clear what "Lemonade" actually is, but there is plenty of speculation that it could be the title of her next album or album film. Beyoncé frequently surprises the Beyhive, so really, it could be anything.

Last year, Beyoncé posted several photos with lemons. So whatever "Lemonade" is, it looks like it has been in the works for a while.

"Lemonade" premieres at 9 p.m. Eastern time Saturday on HBO.
