Alphabet X's New Bipedal Robot Has Better Balance Than You
By Leah Becerra | April 9, 2016
Alphabet X lab, which you might remember as Google X, showed off a new bipedal robot in Tokyo this week.
The project was headed up by SCHAFT, a subsidiary of Alphabet X, which you may recognize from past DARPA robotics challenges.
This video was shot at the 2016 New Economic Summit (NEST) and shows the nameless bot walking up and down stairs like a pro, lifting heavy weights and maintaining its balance on uneven surfaces.
In one demonstration, the bot even wobbles its way around a slippery metal bar.
