Someone should tell Emily Spain that Silicone valley is In LA...Silicon valley is the tech world. This kind of miss use of a word is as disconcerting as Bush's "Nukuler". Other commentators have mis-used things like"lesser amount" when "fewer" would be correct. All this is distracting. Please get your otherwise excellent commentators up to speed on when to use fewer and less properly...and other common mistakes. We all make them, yet they are completely inappropriate in the news.  View

Everyone at newsy are go****n apple fanboys. Almost all the tech news is about apple. And with apple being the "do everything for you" brand, it makes newsy seem like they really don't know what they're talking about, especially with their article titles like "Warner Brothers and Facebook team up: Netflix Killer?" of course its not, I like DVICE's title for the same story: "Facebook gets movies for some reason" (DVICE is a tech news site). newsy, either leave the tech news to them, or get someone on your team who actually knows what they're talking about.  View

More fear bating news. I totally do not believe this story. Two hours in front of a screen causes psychological problems? Have they thought maybe it's the CONTENT that adults push unto these kids with depressing pointless tv and video games. I spend the majority of my day in front of a "screen" in my studio creating music and media, and it brings me great joy. Every day I'm learning and pushing myself to create something new. Personal growth leads to happiness, it doesn't matter what "format" that comes in. We are a tech based race now. Duh.  View

It looks pretty small if he can hold it in his hand like that, unless he's a giant. One of the great features of the iPad is it's 9.7 inches letter size screen. There is lots of screen space to read magazines, read the news, browse the Internet, and run a hundred other apps including games. I don't know how well the playbook can compete with that. My guess will be that it'll sell as well as the typical Blackberry since it's more geared to linkup with a blackberry cell phone than work independently. The worst part is no one is allowed to even try one yet, so at this point all we can do is guess by looking how well their Blackberry performs. If this is the case then Internet browsing will be lacking. And what's with the RIM tech's explanation about sucking emails and data back and forth? That is just stupid and I would bet it doesn't work that way at all. It makes more sense if the data just expires after you read it on the playbook. Ahhhh, marketing BS.  View

Just because a site is blocked doesn't mean tech-savvy citizens in Iran can't bypass any government firewalls. That said, I would be cautious with using Twitter as a source for news without being able to validate the source.  View
