The Western Empire (predominant U$) established Mujihadeen (Afghan), replaced by the Taliban, today rolled up with others into mythology called the Al-Qaeda, and the CIA cash crop of Afghan and Columbia finance the Military/Industrial perpetual war economy with a Check-Kiting Trade-Dollar in the absents of any morality or decency. Blame the Afghanistan (only) for not all dying in the 1979-2009 "Give Russia Their Own Vietnam" and our Military/Industrial needing a time to regroup (in Afghan) to eventually spread their 'Constabulary' world domination into other parts of the world.  View

Typical Russia: preserve the capital at the expensive or everyone, and everything else. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, egg heads!  View

Russia has been controlling the weather for a while. Mayor Luzhkov says it will help the farmers, but I think in the long run the changing will hurt the climate and Moscow.  View

I am in shock that an award that should be given to people who have done something to change the world would be given to a our first communist president. Why do people sleep through what is going on in this country. This man is trying to take away our rights and freedoms and turn us into communist Russia. WAKE UP AMERICA!!! This man and his ideas should have you scared to death!!!!  View

Much like the New Yorker interviewed by Russia Today, I didn't really have an opinion either until I thought about the possibility that these prisoners could end up in my neighborhood. Also, the lack of explanation on Obama's part does highlight the less thought out aspects of this plan.  View

I am so pleased to have stumbled across your website! I think Obama is trying to back up and stop being the bailout nosey country that we have become. We truly see ourselves as the world police and that is crap. Also why does poland and the Czech Republic need protection against Russia? Chill out Russia. Why the hell cant everyone just accept their borders and get on with it. I am sure Russia can look at its own country and find oodles of things to improve. I am so tired of all the hostility. Why cant everyone just clean up their own backyard before nosing around as to who is doing what beyond the border. Its so predictable and boring. Anyway cheers to you for reporting the real news. Personally I have given up watching any media cause it all seems one sided and out of reality. Thanks  View

This piece screams of paranoia from both the US and Venezuela - one's afraid the other might steal their oil/gas, the other one is worried that Venezuela is building its arms might. I'm wondering though why did Russia lend Venezuela the money though, and if so shouldn't that hurt US-Russia ties instead?  View

'Bigger fish to fry' as in the US? Alright so the imperialism title, we deserve. We should really be the last ones to fault the man for doing what we do best (defense building), albeit on a smaller budget. But his visits to Iran and ties with Russia are a little scary. Can anyone say coalition?  View
