I find it extremely surprising that she is essentially the first female high school football coach ever. Speaking as a former high school football player, I understand how it could be awkward at first to have a woman football coach. But if she has the intensity and passion that my past football coaches have had (and there is no doubt that a woman could possess this fire), there should be nothing to hold her back. I wish her well. View

As an African American hearing him be this offensive is no surprise it was his usual macho worthless diatribe but also racist...eg what is she going to play the football player in Blindside what the hell is that suppose to mean.
He needs to stick to his lap dancing stripper Lsilicon boobies porno ho's that's what he's known for. He is an idiot and needs to take a look in the mirror. I have a few descriptives for him. He can backstroke all he wants but he is not saying what I'm thinking.
But its the "delivery" that turned me off. She's not his white blue eyed blond chick coming in his studio taking off her panties. He's a racist dog. That's what a lot of us are thinking. View
Here's the inherent fallacy in Rick Reilly's comment that rushing the court should only happen once or twice:
Students are only at their universities for 4-5 years. Most students want to have that "rushing the court" or (in football) "tearing down the goalposts" moment at some point in their college careers. So while it gets old to see schools have their courts rushed every 6-7 years, you have to take into consideration that it's probably a first and last time for the majority of the people involved (since it's usually students -- not donors -- storming the floor). If you freeze the video at :08, you can see there's a roof (to keep the sun out of their eyes? keep other weather from interfering with track conditions?) The poles look like they're supporting the roof. But you would think they would have the sense to pad the poles (as they pad car racing tracks, football goalposts, etc.) View

I can't really agree that the ads were sexist, because to me, they seemed pretty cliche. They were the typical commercials I would expect to see watching a football game or other male-dominated sport (which, I guess is sexist too). It seems like the commercials have always been filled with 'guy's guys', nagging wives/girlfriends, and hot girls in little clothing. Maybe these commercials are sexist, but I'm not sure why any one is just now noticing or complaining. These same undertones have been around for a while... View
The Saints will be "American's football heros" if they win the super bowl and continue to flourish the season afterward. Yes, it is an accomplishment for a team to make it to the super bowl, but there are one-hit wonders. Overall, the Saints performance has put some positive focus on New Orleans and that is good for business. View
Texas team fired winning football coach, not something you see everyday in a state that takes its football really seriously. Leach most have step in it bad. View
I also agree there should be a playoff system. I think the quote,"The system is designed to reward the big brands of the sport," really rings true in college football. Consistently the same teams are shown nationally and are the most talked about when schools like TCU and Boise State are doing well. View
