this will be the election to watch this year. I think ElBaradei knows that he wont be able to run but I think he is hinting at this bid to keep the process honest. Because of his efforts, this will most likely be a pretty open.  View

No British Prime Minister has ever been elected. Our system runs that the party nominates and votes internally who is going to be in charge if they get the majority at a General Election. As for disaster I whole-heartedly agree, but it is funny though. Also I love the way Newsy covers our news stories, it just seems odd that anything happens over here in ol' blighty that is news worthy across the pond.  View

When is the UK election? Is Gordon Brown's party still down in the polls?  View

If the Sunni boycott does occur, it shows one group finds the elections unfair. I agree with the National Dialogue Front group's feeling toward the candidate ban. If those who feel the election is unfair vote for the best candidate for change then Iraq can take further steps towards more fair elections.  View

disputed election, power driven leader with direct control over the military, widespread suppression of human rights, and rapid militarization. Hmm that in no way sounds like a dictatorship to me...  View

I have to agree that this is free speech. The issue becomes future ads. What happens in a few months when election season rolls around? How will the media provide the required equal time? Tim Tebow's stance on abortion was already well known. I just worry that others will not be given the same forum and reach., both on choice/life and on other issues.  View

Really interesting election, and a major blow to the democrats. This sheds some light on how the American people feel about health reform. I don't think this kills a health reform bill, but it certainly is a major loss for democrats.  View

I think this is the right frame in which the media must look at the joke of the Mass. election. If a bill is passed, it will be much thinner and filled with more GOP-appeasing obstacles, looking almost nothing like its original proposal.  View

This nation has definitely come a long way in race relations but I still think we have a long way to go. The inequalities in poverty rates alone show there is still a lot of work to be done. Many people thought the election of Obama would solve a lot of the remaining issues. However I agree that he has not taken the necessary actions to accomplish this.  View

If some Democrat voters vote for "Kennedy," then what can be said of those voters?? Seems this election has a built in filter for those lacking much of an IQ. And since Coakley's ending this race with a save Kennedy's seat theme... That filter may have to catch more than 3%.  View
