I agree with the quote from Kiro, it's a bad economy for everyone. Plus, teacher pay has been too low for years so it's hard to imagine rallying now will change something.  View

From my perspective, China does have a significant position in the global economy, both from a manufacturing and a policy standpoint (and considering the US is, at the end of the day, in their pocket). I don't know that I'd go so far as to say they -control- the world economy, though.  View

I agree. Just because one move made by China has greatly affected the economy doesn't make China the "controller" of the world economy. China is simply a great influence, not the stand-alone leader.  View

I think this is an anti-incumbent vote influenced by the economy and the western role in creating that bad economy  View

she's an "extremist" of the republican party, and, as such, those repubs who are upset with our government, their own party, and the economy are latching onto her as a last option. honestly, she's the most vivid representation of change and leadership for right-wingers right now. she plays the party and says her "grassroots" lines. but, holy cow. this woman cannot lead a country.  View

I wouldn't call this development "great", instead the unemployment rate is "better than terrible." Keep in mind, the usual rate for a healthy economy is around 3-4 percent. We've still got a long way to go.  View

I am all about funding science,I love everything that NASA stands for but when in our economy I think we have more immediately practical science to pursue.  View

It's a tough choice to make, but I think Obama is correct in his judgement here. Yes, space innovation is important. But is it necessary? I believe spending our budget stimulating the economy and creating jobs is a much more dire crisis at the moment.  View

I think O'Neil is a marketing genius. Who ever heard of Social Strata before this? By offering this radical vacation policy she has gotten free national publicity for her company that will probably end up with some new clients in the end. Great way to get free marketing in a bad economy and keep your employees happy.  View
