It is raelly bad~! Under no circumstances should the looters in Chile storm the stores. The earthquake in Chile reminds me of the one that hit Sichuan Province of China on May 12th,2008 when people did not loot as badly as those in Chile. That's mainly because the Chinese government had taken a series of effective measures in time to meet the basic needs of locals.  View

I read somewhere else that the year 2010 is going to be a year of many many earthquakes And the center of the Chile quake is almost exactly the antipodes of the earthquake center in China last summer Some weird coincidence about the dates of the three earthquakes (China, Haiti, Chile) 5 1 2 1 1 2 2 2 7 it's the same horizontally and vertically  View

From my perspective, China does have a significant position in the global economy, both from a manufacturing and a policy standpoint (and considering the US is, at the end of the day, in their pocket). I don't know that I'd go so far as to say they -control- the world economy, though.  View

I agree. Just because one move made by China has greatly affected the economy doesn't make China the "controller" of the world economy. China is simply a great influence, not the stand-alone leader.  View

The US cannot get China to change the currency policies, and our national debt likely won't go down until they do  View

Although China isn't the only player in world economics, it is unfortunately a major lender. Every decision it makes will most definitely have serious repercussions for other countries.  View

The meeting is nothing else but a conversion. I guess China doesn't want Obama to hear the truth. That's what they are affraid of. Unlike China with their Communist regime, the U.S. is an open democracy where everybody has full rights to express their opinions.  View

If communist party is dictator, then US should support DalaiLama's idea of seperate Tibet from China? I think the US president is just a figurehead controlled by some groups.  View

I like that they had sources from around the world! I think China is against sanctions because they were in a similar place a few years ago.  View
